WIG TYPE BY ESCAPE

›  Monofilment

Just what is a monofilament wig?. Monofilament refers to the type of material that hair strands are sewn onto. Unlike a cloth material, which can be itchy to those with sensitive scalps, monofilament material is a thin gauze-like, nearly transparent material which is much more comfortable to the touch. Hair strands are attached by hand-knotting them to this material, one strand at a time, hence the term "mono-filament".

Many wigs are now produced with a monofilament top, which is constructed with either a double or single layer of monofilament. This gives a smoother, softer feel at the top and crown and the hair fibre is hand knotted into this area giving the appearance of hair growing from the scalp. With monofilament tops you can change the parting slightly.

›  Human Hair Wigs
So, what is the difference between synthetic wigs and human hair wigs? Actually, there are several differences Synthetic hair is usually easier to handle than human hair wigs. This is because it is able to hold on to curls and other styles after being washed. This is difficult for human hair.

While synthetic hair usually costs much less than human hair wigs, that doesn't necessarily mean it is a better value. The finest hair for wigs is considered to be human hair. In addition, just any hair will not do. European hair is considered to be the best and the most expensive as well.

Buying human hair wigs is only half the process. You also need to take care of the wig on a daily basis. Typically, human hair takes more of your time than synthetic. hair does. Synthetic hair does also need to be washed, but not as much as human hair.

One of the things you should be aware of before you buy a wig made of human hair is that because the hair is not getting the same kinds of oils that it would get if it were growing out of a scalp, you need to be sure to know what kinds of shampoos, conditioners, and gels are best to help keep the hair looking natural.
